Gered Thompson
Gered Thompson loves Alpine Skiing, and has been a passionate skier since he was a 2-year-old. Gered has been a member of Nakiska Alpine Ski Association for 8 years, and currently attends the National Sports School, where he is in Grade 11.
Gered had a very strong season,. Gered's performance at the Whistler Cup lead the Alberta Team, and he moved up from bib 53 to 7th in the U16 Super G event.
His accumulated national points, at the end of last season, put him in the lead for both slalom and GS in all of Canada for the 2004 birth year. When Gered's not skiing, he enjoys playing baseball and mountain biking.
Gered also represented Canada for the U16 team in Europe last season and had terrific results in a field with athletes from 36 countries.
He also placed 2nd in the U16 in 2020 last year and also a 4th in SuperG just before the first covid shut down . This season has been training hard but no competitions.
in 2024 Gered Was on the Canadian world juniors tam and represented Canada in France in late January and Early February 2024.
Gered has recently one some leadership awards with the Calgary Booster Club and Cary Mullen awards.
